Rock Painting

This was something I wanted to do for awhile.  I have an old garden pond with tons of rocks.  I'm going to add them into my flower pots and around my garden.

I will call this one  " love birds"

This one I did for my sister and her love of bees ...lol
Just Kidding she HATES them!!

Oh my love for the beautiful butterfly. 🦋
it's a very bumpy rock and it was my first rock too

This was made in Memory of my Nephew Philip 💗

Now I just have to spray them down with a coat of clear weatherproof sealant.

Peace , Love and Happiness.

Growning Cucumbers

I am growing a few different Cucumbers, Marketmore 76,  Pickle bush and National Pickling.  Of course I love cucumbers in my salad and on sandwiches, but my main goal is to Pickle them.  I always have store bought pickles in my fridge, now it's time to make my own.

I remember my dads friend back in the day, he had about 3-4  wine barrels in the basement of our Bronx apartment building and they were the best!!!  My mom always said I would take a pickle over piece of candy when I was a kid and I still do ;)

It's time they move them into a larger pots and put them outside

I used a mixture of coconut coir, perlite and potting soil

                                                               I have a BABY!!

Stay tuned to see more of my Digs!

Be sure to let it dry out then pry open the sides gently without hurting the seed.

Mango Madness

My friend has an amazing Mango Tree in his yard.  It has tons of Mangoes.  I am so going to take advantage ;)

I found some that just fell off the tree ,  I cleaned them up and let them dry out.

After they dried out I opened them up and planted them in cups.
Be sure to plant the seed sideways. Do not bury deep just lightly cover it.

I did this in small cups, then l moved them over to larger ones.
I am in desperate need of pots. These days they are hard to come by.  People are waking up and growing their own.

I added them to a mixture of Coconut Coir , Perlite and Potting soil

I do have my own Mango tree, however it not as large as my friends

My goal is to learn how to graft the young Mango (Rootstock) with a Scion (Bud or shoot from fruiting tree).

also if you look closely , you will see tinfoil in the tree.
I am learning how to air layer, in a few weeks we will see how that turned out.

Thanks for Checking out my Dig!
